About Me - Denise

I'm a mom of 2 kids (ages 7 and 5) and I am currently home with them and have been since my oldest was born. I have a wonderful husband who I've been married to for almost 10 years and who makes me even happier today than the day I married him.

I am a former elementary school teacher (1st grade and 5th grade). Now that my two kids are starting school full-time, I will probaby do some substitute teaching to ease back in to the teaching world and maybe teach full-time again in the future. I love teaching, love creating fun lessons and miss the classroom.

Five years ago, my husband and I opened a party store. The store has since closed (we relocated from Ontario, Canada to California) but the store is what got me started in candy wrapping and design. I started making wrappers for our party store customers and was soon very busy with making hand-finished items. When our store closed, I decided that I wanted to keep designing and sell my designs online, so I joined a group store and kept creating!

Now I am starting my own store that I hope to have open in the next few weeks. I love working with my customers to create wrappers that they are proud to give for favors or gifts.

I know many of you on this forum and look forward to getting to know all of the others!

Thanks Karen. It was a big decision choosing the look for my new website, but I decided on this cute set from J Rett (and my "girl" is from Primsy Doodle). I wanted a 'girly' look!!

Still tweaking a few things, but open for business.
